Verano Place Shooting

So by now UCI students and a good portion of the OC have probably heard about the shooting death of the wife of 35-year old physics graduate student Brian Hughes Benedict.

Here's what we've also heard.

"My wife attends UCI. The suspect shared her office. Going through a divorce. One of my wife's friend and fellow student placed the 911 call as it happened right out side of their apartment. Another friend and student said he heard a dozen shots...not too sure on the details of that, probably lost count as these things happen very quickly. Cops showed up in about a minute or less and had the shooter detained with out a struggle. Rumor has it the suspect served in either Afganastan or Iraq.

My wife is pretty shook up. If I get any more rumors or verified info I'll post it." -anonymous

"Another rumor going around is that the victim was shot 8 times. This info comes from a medical student who attempted to save the victim's life. I got this third hand so I can't totally verify the accuracy but it's probably a pretty good guess that the victim was shot quite a few times." -anonymous

Gen4 Online

Welcome to gen4online, a new firearms community dedicated to examining the latest in firearms industry and technology developments. Driven by multimedia, Gen4 aims to unveil the lifestyle of young firearms enthusiasts and provide new shooters with relevant and straightforward content on tactics, equipment, and technology.

We like to think of the development of firearms as four generations: the first era saw the introduction of the flintlock and muskets, the second era ushered in the usage of breechloading rifles, the third era was marked by innovations in bolt action and later semiautomatic technology.

We are now in the fourth generation of firearms technology, the refinement and improvement of semiautomatic and precision bolt action weapon systems. The next generation of shooting is now.
